ALBANY — Albany Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred Saturday evening on Quail Street.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Quail Street near Hudson Avenue around 6:45 p.m. Aug. 23 for reports of an individual shot.
Upon arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his calf area.
The victim was treated on scene by the Albany fire department and emergency medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Through investigation, it has been determined that the incident occurred inside the victim’s vehicle and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation.
