HARTLAND — Two people were arrested on active warrants Thursday evening in the parking lot of Mikes Store.
Deputy Hunter Buchanan of the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department spotted a blue Toyota Camry belonging to Morgan Bertholdt around 7:30 p.m.
Buchanan knew Bertholdt had an active in-state warrant and found him inside the vehicle.
Bertholdt, 24, was taken into custody.
A rear passenger was identified as Ashley Hard, 36, who also had an active in-state warrant.
Both suspects are listed as homeless.
Sheriff Ryan Palmer, Deputy Jalava and officers from the Windsor Police Department assisted with a consent search of the vehicle.
Small amounts of drug paraphernalia were seized during the search.
Both Bertholdt and Hard were released on citations.
They are scheduled to appear Monday at 8:30 a.m. at Woodstock Criminal Court.
