WINOOSKI — A three-vehicle collision on Interstate 89 South sent one person to the hospital with suspected minor injuries Tuesday morning.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:51 a.m. near mile marker 90.6, according to Vermont State Police.
Dylan Sordiff Shand, 22, of Sheldon, was driving a 2022 Ford F-350 when he failed to yield to congested traffic and rear-ended two other vehicles.
McKayla Bostwick, 27, of Milton, was operating a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee that sustained moderate damage in the collision.
Bostwick was transported by ambulance to the University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment of suspected minor injuries.
The third vehicle involved was a 2022 Ford Transit operated by Daniel Shedrick, 40, of Alburgh.
Shedrick’s vehicle sustained no damage and he was not injured.
All three drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
Road conditions were dry and weather was cloudy.
Sordiff Shand was issued Vermont Civil Violation Complaints for driving without a license and following too closely.
The violations carry a total waiver penalty of $382 and 6 points.
I-89 was reduced to one lane for approximately one hour while crews cleared the vehicles from the roadway.
