SOUTHPORT — A 35-year-old Elmira man was arrested as a fugitive from justice following a traffic stop Tuesday.
Horace A. Woodson was charged with failure to appear for a petition to revoke parole/probation/ARD, with a lead offense of theft by unlawful taking-movable property, in violation of Pennsylvania law.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division conducted the traffic stop in Southport on Aug. 20, where Woodson was identified as the operator.
It was later discovered that Woodson was wanted by the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania.
The Criminal Investigations Division received the warrant from Bradford County requesting that Woodson be held.
Woodson was subsequently arrested and processed as a fugitive from justice.
Woodson was arraigned by the Town of Southport Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail, awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania.
