Owego police report 3 arrests, 151 calls for service in weekly summary

OWEGO — The Owego Police Department responded to 151 calls for service during the week of Aug. 11 through Aug. 17, according to a department press release.

Police made three arrests during the period and investigated two motor vehicle accidents.

No traffic tickets were issued during the week.

Kyle R. Miner, 23, of Owego, was arrested for criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, following an investigation of a domestic disturbance on Chestnut Street.

Miner was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Owego Court.

Rebecca L. Yost, 22, of Owego, was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, following an investigation of a domestic disturbance on Chestnut Street.

Yost was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Village of Owego Court.

A 40-year-old Waverly man was taken into custody for a mental health hold after a report that he was a danger to himself.

The man was transported to a hospital for medical treatment.
