SHERBURNE — A 27-year-old homeless Sherburne resident was arrested Tuesday on charges of petit larceny and third-degree criminal mischief.

Noah R. Cutting was taken into custody by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office after deputies responded to a complaint about a stolen trailer in the village.

After a brief investigation, the stolen trailer was located at a residence in the village, according to a sheriff’s office media release.

While recovering the trailer, deputies found it had been damaged.

Deputies gathered information from witnesses and determined Cutting was the suspect.

Later that night, deputies responded to a separate trespass complaint and located Cutting at the scene.

Cutting was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

He was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Sherburne Village Court at a later date.
