Solar panels stolen from Parkman field, sheriff seeks tips

PARKMAN — The Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance regarding the theft of a large number of solar panels from a solar field site near 619 State Highway 150.

The theft occurred between Friday, Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 8 a.m.

The stolen panels were arranged in three large stacks and placed on pallets.

Each panel measures approximately 4 feet wide by 6 feet long.

The panels are very heavy and would have required a large trailer to transport, according to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone who was in the area during the time frame and has information about the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office through Facebook or call 564-3304 to speak with Deputy Schubert.
