Waltham man arrested for violating relief from abuse order

WALTHAM — Vermont State Police arrested a 30-year-old Waltham man Tuesday morning for allegedly violating a relief from abuse order.

Jacob Burmania was taken into custody at 8:58 a.m. on Maple Street after troopers received a report of the violation.

Through investigation, troopers determined that Burmania had violated an active relief from abuse order.

During the arrest, police say Burmania resisted and damaged a police cruiser by kicking it.

Burmania was transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing.

He was then taken to Addison County Superior Court for arraignment.

Burmania faces charges of violation of relief from abuse, resisting arrest and unlawful mischief.
