Springfield police arrest man twice in 2 months for groping

SPRINGFIELD — Springfield police arrested 42-year-old Isaac Proctor on Monday on the 0-100 block of Hardy Street in connection with an indecent assault and battery.

Officers responded around 5:05 p.m. to the area of Boston Road and Parker Street for a report of a sexual assault.

The victim stated a male, later identified as Proctor, reached into the open window of her car and groped her.

Springfield Police Crime Analysts in the Real-Time Analysis Center located a male matching the suspect’s description on city cameras in the Parker Street area.

Officers located and arrested Proctor at approximately 6:15 p.m.

Proctor was out on bail from a similar incident when he was arrested July 1.

Springfield police arrested Proctor at the Walmart on Boston Road after he allegedly groped a teenage girl.

He was charged with indecent assault and battery on a person over age 14, and his court date in connection with that case was scheduled for Tuesday.
