Pawling woman charged with prostitution, unlicensed massage therapy

PAWLING — State Police arrested a 50-year-old Florida woman on prostitution and professional licensing charges following an investigation at a local spa.

Xuekun Lin of Davenport, Fla., was charged Aug. 13 after an enforcement operation at Hi7-Spa at 4 Oak Street.

State Police in Dover Plains received a complaint July 21 of suspected prostitution at the business.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation at SP Dover Plains launched a follow-up investigation with the Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team.

During the Aug. 13 operation, Lin offered sexual intercourse for money, according to investigators.

Police also determined Lin did not possess a valid New York State massage therapy license.

Lin was charged with unlawful practice of a profession, a class E felony, and prostitution, a class B misdemeanor.

She was processed and released on an appearance ticket.

Lin is scheduled to appear in Town of Pawling Court on Sept. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
