GLENS FALLS — A 19-year-old man was arrested on driving while intoxicated charges after leading police on a brief pursuit early Aug. 17.
Hunter A. Jarvis accelerated at a high rate of speed after officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to stop his vehicle for a traffic violation at approximately 12:10 a.m., according to the Glens Falls Police Department.
Officers were conducting a DWI patrol when they attempted the traffic stop.
Jarvis ultimately stopped his vehicle after the brief pursuit.
A roadside investigation led to Jarvis’ arrest for operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.18%.
Police said Jarvis had a blood alcohol content of 0.26%.
Jarvis was charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer in the third degree and aggravated DWI.
He was also issued nine uniform traffic tickets for other vehicle and traffic violations committed during the pursuit.
Jarvis was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Glens Falls City Court at a later date.
