HADLEY — A 20-year-old Northampton man was arrested on multiple charges after crashing his pickup truck on Bay Road near South Maple Street on Aug. 17.
Police said Parker Aimi-Starkoski was driving a Dodge Ram pickup when he drove off the road, struck a tree and utility pole, rolled over several times, and hit mailboxes and a steel gate on private property.
Aimi-Starkoski was walking around when Hadley police, fire and Action Ambulance arrived at the scene.
Officers said the driver showed signs of impairment, including a heavy odor of alcohol on his breath, while denying he had consumed any alcohol.
Police administered field sobriety tests, including a roadside breathalyzer, which indicated the driver was intoxicated.
Aimi-Starkoski was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, speeding and open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
He was medically cleared at a hospital before being booked.
