Worcester police arrest 2 men in stolen vehicle case

WORCESTER — Worcester Police officers arrested two men Monday morning in connection with a stolen vehicle after responding to a breaking and entering report on Florence Street.

Police were dispatched to a residence on Florence Street at approximately 10:51 a.m. Aug. 18 for a report of a breaking and entering.

A male resident woke up and discovered his apartment had been broken into and his car was stolen.

Officers located the vehicle a short time later on Chandler Street and conducted a traffic stop.

The operator, 29-year-old Victor Soriano, and passenger, 19-year-old Rey Lauriano, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

The victim’s vehicle was returned to him.
