PORTLAND — Police responded to the University Credit Union on 391 Forest Avenue for a report of a robbery Friday at 2:07 p.m.
The suspect entered the bank and escaped with $100 in cash before fleeing down Forest Avenue.
No weapon was observed during the robbery.
Thanks to video surveillance and investigatory measures, the suspect was located later in the day and taken into custody.
Police also discovered that the suspect had stolen a car earlier in the week.
Police arrested 64-year-old Kenneth Morey Jr. of Portland.
He was charged with robbery, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and theft and was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
