Portland police investigate crash involving electric scooter on Warren Avenue

PORTLAND — Police responded to a crash in the 600 block of Warren Avenue on Saturday at 9:42 a.m. involving a motor vehicle and an electric scooter.

Witnesses said a 55-year-old woman from Westbrook was traveling the wrong way in the bike lane when she struck the side of a vehicle pulling out of the Wendy’s parking lot.

The vehicle was driven by a 19-year-old man from Gorham.

The woman was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

No charges have been filed.

Warren Avenue was closed for two hours during the incident.
