OLEAN — A Pennsylvania man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
Shane F. Easton, 39, of Bradford, Pennsylvania, was taken into custody at approximately 4:46 a.m. Aug. 15.
Easton was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies on South 11th Street for vehicle and traffic law infractions.
Deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle and Easton’s person revealed approximately 10.70 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a red scale with residue.
The vehicle search also yielded miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
Easton was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation for processing.
He was then taken to Olean City Court for arraignment on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the second degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
Easton was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date.
