Georgia man arrested on retail theft warrant

GEORGIA — Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks arrested a 37-year-old Georgia man on an active warrant Aug. 14 at approximately 9:40 p.m.

Matthew Peno was located by troopers patrolling Sand Hill Road in Georgia.

Peno was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant and transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans.

He was held on $100 bail.

Peno was issued a citation to appear in court Aug. 18 at 1 p.m.

The warrant contained charges of retail theft of $250 or less, a misdemeanor.
