ALBANY — State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit arrested Donnief Y. Cancer, 25 of Albany, and Byonce D. Whitted, 25 of Albany, each for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree on Aug. 12.
Whitted was also arrested for Criminal Possession of Cannabis in the third degree and Vehicle and Traffic Law violations.
At about 9:10 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle for Vehicle and Traffic Law violations on I-787 in Albany.
The driver was identified as Whitted and the passenger as Cancer.
During the investigation, an illegally possessed loaded handgun and an illegal quantity of cannabis were seized from the vehicle.
Whitted and Cancer were arrested and transported to SP Latham for processing.
They were both then transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
