DUNDEE — A 39-year-old Geneva man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly breaking into vehicles in the village of Dundee.
Edward F. Galvin III was charged with petit larceny, obstruction of governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property, uninsured motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, uninspected motor vehicle and operating without a license.
Yates County Sheriff’s deputies and New York State Police responded to a report of a male breaking into vehicles at the Quick Shoppe on Water Street at 10:08 p.m.
The suspect was located at the Dundee School Bus Garage and fled from deputies.
After a brief foot pursuit, Galvin was arrested.
He was transported to the Yates County Jail for centralized arraignment where he was held on bail.
