Utica woman charged with burglary, larceny at Walmart

UTICA — A 58-year-old woman was arrested Aug. 13 after allegedly stealing merchandise from the North Utica Walmart while banned from the store.

Police responded to the store at approximately 2:45 p.m. regarding a larceny investigation.

Loss prevention associates told officers they had stopped Lisa Martin after she passed all points of purchase with store merchandise.

Officers learned Martin had previously been issued a ban letter prohibiting her from being on the premises.

Martin was transported to the Utica Police Department and charged with burglary in the third degree and petit larceny.
