Holyoke man arrested in July shooting investigation

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan announced that detectives arrested a shooting suspect Wednesday morning in Springfield.

Jeyver Pabon-Flores, 21, of West Springfield, was taken into custody around 9 a.m. at an apartment on the 0-100 block of Wilcox Street in Springfield.

The arrest was made by Holyoke Police Detectives, members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section, U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Springfield Police Firearms Investigation Unit.

Pabon-Flores is connected to a July 24 shooting on Sargeant Street in Holyoke.

Around 2:30 a.m. that day, Holyoke Police Officers responded to 27 Sargeant Street for a ShotSpotter activation.

Officers located an adult male gunshot victim who was transported to the hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Holyoke Police Detectives investigated and identified Pabon-Flores as a suspect.

Detectives applied for a warrant for his arrest in connection with the shooting.

Pabon-Flores is charged with carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, assault and battery with a firearm, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, firearm-armed assault to murder, mayhem, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
