HOPE VALLEY — Troopers arrested Connor Bannon, age 37, of Rhode Island, at 9:41 p.m. for possession of a controlled substance schedule I-V – ten grams or less (cocaine).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane in the city of Warwick.
Bannon was processed at the State Police-Hope Valley Barracks and later held as a bail violator overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
At 1:40 a.m., troopers arrested Deborah Champlin, age 64, of Hope Valley, Rhode Island, for driving under the influence B.A.C. unknown-first offense, refusal to submit to a chemical test-second offense, and reckless driving.
The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a wrong way driver on Route 95 North in the town of Exeter.
Champlin was transported to the State Police-Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed and later arraigned by justice of the peace and released with a future Fourth District Court date.
