WINHALL — Two men were arrested after a gun was discharged and struck a vehicle on Sylvan Ridge Road late Sunday night.
Winhall police were initially dispatched to a residence on Sylvan Ridge Road at 11:54 p.m. for a motor vehicle complaint.
While responding, officers received an update that a gun had been fired and a vehicle was struck.
Eric Sheldon, 24, of Winhall was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Michael Dirgo, 26, of Winhall was arrested for providing false information to a law enforcement officer.
Police said this was an isolated incident and there are no threats to the public.
Sheldon is being held without bail.
Dirgo was released on conditions.
Manchester Police Department and Vermont State Police assisted with the investigation.
Both men are scheduled to appear in Bennington court Monday at 12:30 p.m.
