WAVERLY — Members of the New York State Police arrested Jason C. Vincent, 41, of St. Regis Falls, on Aug. 9 on charges of unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, and harassment in the first degree.

At approximately 5:34 a.m. on the same day, troopers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on Spruce Street in the town of Waverly.

The investigation revealed that Vincent and the victim had engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation.

During the altercation, Vincent placed his hands around the victim’s neck, obstructing their ability to breathe, as well as striking the victim and sitting on them, preventing any movement.

The victim managed to escape, contact law enforcement, and leave the residence.

Vincent was arrested and taken to SP Malone for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court and released on his own recognizance.

The victim received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries at Alice Hyde Medical Center.
