2 arrested on drug charges in Sherburne

SHERBURNE — Two Edmeston residents were arrested Aug. 6 by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on drug charges after deputies found them in a suspicious vehicle parked at a local business.

Cassandra A. Davi, 26, and Taylor R. Micha, 31, both of Edmeston, were taken into custody after deputies observed their vehicle parked at a business in Sherburne for an extended period.

Deputies approached the vehicle while on patrol and made contact with both subjects inside.

During the investigation, deputies found Davi and Micha in possession of fentanyl, packaging material and scales, according to the sheriff’s office.

Both suspects were transported to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Davi and Micha were arraigned in Centralized Arraignment and remanded to the Chenango County Jail on cash bail.

Davi faces charges including criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (two counts), tampering with physical evidence, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree (two counts), criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and loitering in the first degree.

Micha is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree (two counts), tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and loitering in the first degree.
