EAST GREENBUSH — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two juveniles captured on doorbell camera footage engaging in repeated “ding-dong ditch” activity during overnight hours.
The East Greenbush Police Department said it has received multiple reports over several months of individuals disturbing residents in the area of Bloomingdale Avenue and Petalas Drive.
Police have obtained Ring doorbell video clearly showing the two juveniles involved and are releasing the footage hoping a parent, guardian or community member can help identify them.
Anyone who recognizes either individual is asked to contact the East Greenbush Police at (518) 479-2525 or send a private message.
Tips can remain anonymous, police said.
The department noted that while some may view the behavior as a prank, repeatedly disturbing residents during overnight hours can result in harassment, trespass and disorderly conduct charges under New York State law.
