Vehicle crashes into Cortlandville pet store

CORTLANDVILLE — A vehicle drove through the front of a pet supply store in Cortlandville on Thursday morning.

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Pet Supplies Plus at 3928 NY Route 281 at approximately 9:07 a.m. after reports of a crash.

The driver, a 76-year-old, accidentally accelerated while parking, causing the vehicle to go over a curb and through the store’s front windows.

The driver was evaluated by TLC Ambulance and confirmed to be uninjured.

No staff or customers were hurt.

The building was inspected by the Town of Cortlandville Codes Office and the Cortlandville Fire Department.

Assisting agencies included the Cortlandville Fire Department, Town of Cortlandville Codes, TLC Ambulance, and CNY Towing.
