MOULTONBOROUGH — The Moultonborough Police Department responded to a hit-and-run crash involving a vehicle and motorcycle on Thursday, August 7, at 4:05 p.m.
The crash occurred on Moultonboro Neck Road near Lower Meadow Road.
Officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle, last seen heading southbound.
Lieutenant Cavic and MPO/SRO Cloutier responded to the scene while other officers searched the area for the suspect vehicle.
At 4:17 p.m., Chief Beede located the vehicle southbound on Moultonboro Neck Road near Harbourside.
Chief Beede stopped the vehicle at 4:19 p.m. on Long Island Road near Trexler’s Marina.
After an investigation, the driver, Robert Lloyd Horne, Jr., 18, of Rochester, New Hampshire, was arrested for reckless conduct-deadly weapon, conduct after an accident and reckless operation.
Horne was booked at the Moultonborough Police Department and later transported to Carroll County Jail for bail.
The motorcycle operator was injured but declined hospital transport.
The case remains under investigation.
