MANCHESTER — A Manchester man died after his vehicle crashed into the Merrimack River on Interstate 293.
The crash occurred at 5:52 a.m. on Friday, August 8.
New Hampshire State Police Troopers from Troop B responded to reports of a vehicle leaving the roadway near mile marker 5.0 on I-293 northbound, just before Exit 4.
Officers found a black Hyundai Tucson upside down at the bottom of an embankment, partially submerged in the river.
Manchester Fire Department personnel extricated the driver, identified as Juan Alonzo Perez Ramirez, 32, of Manchester.
Perez Ramirez was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
