BOSTON — Officers in Roxbury recovered 92 grams of crack cocaine and more than 40 ounces of marijuana during a traffic stop Wednesday night.

Alex Mack, 27, of Randolph, was arrested on drug trafficking charges after police pulled over his vehicle for a broken taillight near 144 Dudley St. at about 10:43 p.m.

Police said Mack became confrontational and refused to fully roll down his windows.

Officers spotted an open backpack with a bag of marijuana visible inside.

Mack resisted arrest, pulling away from officers and attempting to flee before being subdued.

A search of his backpack revealed crack cocaine, marijuana, a scale and $1,720 in cash.

Mack is expected to face charges including trafficking cocaine and possession with intent to distribute.

He will be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
