WEST GREENWICH — Troopers arrested Clarence Thompson Jr., 56, of 1412 Quiet Court, Portsmouth, Virginia, at 8:21 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, for license or permit required for carrying pistol.
The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Route 95.
Thompson was transported to the Hope Valley barracks, where he was processed and held overnight.
He is scheduled for arraignment at Third Division District Court.
