CHARLESTON — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on Aug. 8 at a residence on Bacon Road in Charleston.
Information obtained during the operation led to a second search warrant at a home on Puddledock Road in Charleston.
During the Puddledock Road search, K9 Memphis alerted to the presence of illegal drugs.
Deputies seized 1,003.8 grams of methamphetamine, six firearms, cash and 12.9 grams of suspected fentanyl.
Jessica Smock, 43, of Charleston, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and possession of firearms by a prohibited person.
Lou-Ann Smock, 66, of Charleston, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs and unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs.
The operation was supported by the Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, PCSO K-9 Memphis, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and Homeland Security Investigations.
