Clifton Park man arrested on rape, child endangerment charges

CLIFTON PARK — State Police arrested a 32-year-old Clifton Park man on multiple charges including rape and child endangerment.

Corey Brierley was charged July 31 with rape in the third degree, sexual abuse in the third degree, criminal sale of cannabis in the third degree, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Troopers received information July 22 that a child had received cannabis from an adult man.

The investigation determined Brierley reportedly met with juveniles the previous evening in Stillwater.

During the interaction, Brierley allegedly provided and smoked cannabis with one of the juveniles.

Further investigation led to the discovery that Brierley allegedly had sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 17 in Clifton Park during the afternoon hours of July 21.

Brierley was arrested at his place of employment in Clifton Park and transported to State Police Clifton Park for processing.

He was arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court where he was remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility without bail.
