GLENBURN — Two suspects are in custody following a violent shooting incident that damaged a residence and vehicle on Danforth Drive.
The Penobscot Regional Communications Center received reports of the incident at approximately 3:10 p.m. Sunday.
The homeowner reported that several masked individuals fired shots and caused significant damage to her car and residence.
No one inside the home sustained injuries, according to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.
The occupants provided a detailed description of the suspects as they fled the scene.
Deputies encountered the suspects fleeing on Union Street in Hermon.
When a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated and failed to yield.
The vehicle turned onto Davis Road in Bangor and slowed down at the Finson Road intersection, where two suspects exited and fled on foot.
The suspect vehicle continued back toward Glenburn.
K9 units from both Bangor Police and the Sheriff’s Office were deployed to the Finson Road area.
Following a brief search, one suspect was located hiding under a mobile home trailer.
Deputies continued pursuing the fleeing vehicle until the suspect abandoned it and entered a residential home not associated with the suspect.
Deputies entered the home and captured the suspect, who resisted arrest.
The investigation remains ongoing as deputies follow up on leads related to the case.
