MOUNT HOLLY — Vermont State Police arrested a 25-year-old Proctor man on suspicion of driving under the influence early Sunday morning after his vehicle went off VT 155.
The Westminster Dispatch Center received a report at 1:24 a.m. of a vehicle off the side of the roadway in Mount Holly.
Troopers identified the operator as Ryan Boeke, who told police he traveled off the roadway while avoiding a deer.
Further investigation revealed Boeke was impaired by alcohol, according to police.
Boeke was screened and subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland for processing.
Boeke was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Rutland Criminal Division on Aug. 18 at 10 a.m.
