HOLYOKE — Members of multiple law enforcement agencies seized two large-capacity firearms and trafficking amounts of illegal drugs during a search warrant execution Friday morning.
The operation at 41 Portland Street involved CINRET West of the Massachusetts State Police, Holyoke Police Narcotics/Vice Division, Hampden County Sheriff’s Department and Drug Enforcement Administration at approximately 9:45 a.m.
Police Chief Brian Keenan announced the seizure was part of an investigation into illegal drug distribution in the city.
Investigators recovered approximately 597 grams of cocaine, 176 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 206 grams of fentanyl pills, 118 grams of methamphetamine, 70 grams of ecstasy and seven grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
Two illegal firearms capable of holding 30 rounds of ammunition and a third large capacity magazine were also seized.
Three subjects were detained during the search, with two placed under arrest and one released.
Montel Harris, 30, of Holyoke faces charges including cocaine trafficking over 200 grams, fentanyl trafficking over 200 grams, heroin/fentanyl trafficking 100-200 grams, methamphetamine trafficking 100-200 grams, possession with intent to distribute Class B and C drugs, firearm violations, possession of large capacity feeding devices, violation of a restraining order and improper storage of firearms.
Tyron Harris, 26, of Holyoke is charged with heroin/fentanyl trafficking 36-100 grams, possession of firearms without proper identification cards, possession of ammunition without proper identification, possession of large capacity feeding devices, firearm violations during commission of felonies and improper storage of firearms.
