PORTLAND — Police responded to a robbery at Bangor Savings Bank at 1071 Brighton Avenue on Saturday at 9:32 a.m.
The suspect entered the bank and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing into the wooded area behind the building.
No weapon was observed during the robbery.
The Maine State Police and Westbrook Police Department both provided K9 support to track the suspect.
Officers, assisted by the K9 units, conducted an extensive search of the area for several hours but were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, green pants, navy blue shoes, blue gloves with a mask and sunglasses.
He is reported to be 5’8″ with a stocky build.
