Albany police arrest 2, recover stolen handgun in narcotics investigation

ALBANY — Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a narcotics investigation.

On Wednesday, July 30 around 10:15 a.m., detectives from the Albany Police department’s Community Response Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on McAlpin street in reference to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search warrant, detectives recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and a quantity of crack cocaine.

The recovered handgun was reported stolen out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Two individuals were located inside the residence and were taken into custody.

53-year-old Theresa Arthur of Albany has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th.

She was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and released under the supervision of Albany County Probation.

45-year-old Raymond Still of Albany has been charged with one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th, one count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, one count of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th.

He was arraigned in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
