WALLKILL — Town of Wallkill Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at Orange Plaza on July 29.
Officer Luis Gonzalez interviewed the victim at the police department regarding the incident that happened at approximately 7:07 p.m. at 470 State Route 211 East.
The victim told police she was approached by a suspect in the walkway between Burlington Coat Factory and Kohl’s.
The suspect forcefully removed the victim’s cellular phone from her purse and fled the area, according to police.
Police described the suspect as a Black male, approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall with a slim build and afro hairstyle.
The suspect was wearing black jeans and a dark colored shirt.
