MONTVILLE — Montville Police will conduct sobriety checkpoints Thursday at various locations throughout the town.
The checkpoints will focus on high-traffic roadways including Route 85, Route 32, Route 82 and Route 163.
The checks will run from 5 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday.
Police said the purpose of the checkpoints is to educate the public and strengthen awareness about detecting and removing motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs from roadways.
