CROWN POINT — Members of the New York State Police arrested 41-year-old Thomas Decker from Ticonderoga for grand larceny in the 4th degree (motor vehicle) and unauthorized use of a vehicle on July 27.
At approximately 1:35 p.m. that day, troopers responded to a property damage accident on Creek Road in the town of Crown Point.
An investigation revealed that Decker was driving a blue 2007 Toyota Tundra when he went off the roadway and struck a parked vehicle in a driveway.
After the accident, he fled into a wooded area.
Further investigation disclosed that Decker did not have permission to operate the vehicle, which did not belong to him.
The Ticonderoga Police Department and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department assisted in locating Decker.
He was found later that evening and arrested.
Decker was taken to SP Schroon Lake for processing and was released on appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Crown Point Court at a later date in August.
