EAST HAMPTON — Police issued citations and made arrests in several incidents between July 17 and July 26, according to a department press release issued July 28.
On July 17, Gloria Zarate-Losado, 68, of East Hampton was issued a ticket for operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Following an investigation into a three-car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Middletown Avenue (Route 16) and Young Street (Route 196) on July 22, Ewa Rybitwa, 41, of East Hampton was arrested for improper turns and driving under the influence.
Rybitwa was released upon signing a $2,500 non-surety bond set by the department and promising to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 9 a.m.
On July 26, Christopher Scaplen, 40, of East Hampton was arrested for interfering with and resisting an officer.
Scaplen was released on a promise to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at 9 a.m.
Between Monday, July 21 and Sunday, July 27, officers responded to 12 medical calls, five motor vehicle accidents, five alarms and made seven traffic stops.
