WAITSFIELD — Vermont State Police are investigating after an 82-year-old woman was found dead in a vehicle on private property Monday afternoon.
Sheila Uris of Waitsfield was discovered at approximately 1:16 p.m. on Pine Hill Lane after a homeowner found the vehicle on their property with a deceased person inside.
Troopers and a detective with the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to conduct a death investigation.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington to determine the cause and manner of death.
Initial evidence and investigation does not indicate this to be a suspicious death, police said.
