SCARBOROUGH — A motorist discovered an injured person lying in the roadway on Ginn Road off Payne Road around 11:20 p.m. July 26.
No other people or vehicles were found in the area when the injured person was discovered.
The person was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where medical staff determined they had sustained significant trauma.
The Scarborough Police Department is investigating the incident along with Maine State Police, South Portland Police Department and other area agencies to determine the cause of the trauma.
