Holyoke police arrest 6, seize heroin in multi-agency operation

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Police Chief Brian Keenan announced that a multi-agency operation led to six arrests and the recovery of more than 60 bags of heroin/fentanyl.

On Thursday, members of the Holyoke Police Department along with members of the FBI western Massachusetts Gang Task Force, Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force, SAFE Task Force and the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit conducted an operation in Holyoke to deter open-air drug dealing and use as well as the violence that is often associated with it.

Around 2:55 p.m., Holyoke Police Officers were conducting surveillance in the area of High and Newton Streets.

Officers observed a suspected drug deal and detained 45-year-old Jeremy Majewski.

Officers recovered approximately 60 bags of heroin/fentanyl and placed Majewski under arrest.

During the course of the day, officers and Task Force members located and arrested five subjects in the city with outstanding arrest warrants.

Jeremy Majewski, 45, of Hatfield is charged with possession of a Class A drug.

Omar Reyes, 44, of Holyoke is charged on arrest warrants.

Stefen Kervian, 35, of Chicopee is charged on an arrest warrant.

Juan Ramirez-Torres, 69, of Holyoke is charged on an arrest warrant.

Crystal Guyette, 42, of Chicopee is charged on an arrest warrant.

Gilberto Rodriguez-Sanchez, 33, of Holyoke is charged on multiple arrest warrants.
