Stamford police arrest 2, seize 536 illegal THC products from convenience stores

STAMFORD — Two people were arrested and 536 illegal THC products weighing 18.55 pounds were seized during coordinated compliance checks at two retail stores on July 21.

Stamford Police narcotics detectives and Department of Consumer Protection agents conducted the operation in response to multiple public complaints.

Mohab Soliman, 28, of Jersey City, New Jersey, was arrested at Golden Cave Convenience at 871 High Ridge Road.

Soliman was charged with possession of marijuana over 1 kilogram and possession with intent to sell.

Police seized 226 illegal THC products weighing approximately 5.71 pounds from the store.

Zeine Moulaye, 36, of Stamford, was arrested at Smoke Times at 108 Bedford Street.

Moulaye was charged with possession of marijuana over 1 kilogram and possession with intent to sell.

Police seized 310 illegal THC products weighing approximately 12.84 pounds from that location.

Both suspects are employees of their respective businesses, police said.

Each was held on $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 4.

Both individuals were processed at Stamford Police Department jail without incident.
