ROSLYN HEIGHTS — A 15-year-old was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday while attempting to sell gold rings through Facebook Marketplace in the rear parking lot of Kitchen Kabaret.
The incident occurred when an unknown suspect met the teen to purchase the rings being sold online.
The suspect tried on the rings, then lifted their shirt to reveal a black holster containing what appeared to be a firearm and threatened the victim.
The suspect fled with the rings in an unknown vehicle that may have been driven by an additional person.
Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with dark curly hair and a thin build.
The gender of the suspect remains unknown.
The robbery occurred in the rear parking lot of the Kitchen Kabaret restaurant.
