LIVONIA — Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of a Livonia resident on multiple felony charges following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On June 17 at approximately 7:39 p.m., Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Livonia for the report of a physical domestic incident taking place.

Deputies arrived on scene and began an investigation into the incident.

It is alleged through the investigation that 51-year-old Jason Dehond had gotten into a physical domestic incident with a female at the residence, while having an Order of Protection in place against him, with the female being the protected party.

While attempting to place Dehond under arrest, he refused to comply with Deputies and resisted arrest.

Dehond was ultimately arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, two counts of felony Criminal Possession of a Firearm, felony Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, misdemeanor Obstructing Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, and two counts of Harassment in the Second Degree.

Dehond was transported and turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for arrest processing and pre-arraignment detention.

Dehond was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Lima Justice Harris.

The District Attorney’s Office recommended that Dehond be held on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.

The Judge did remand Dehond to the custody of the Sheriff on the recommended bail and bond.
