WINDSOR LOCKS — A 38-year-old Windsor Locks man was arrested Wednesday morning in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred in Hartford on April 1.

Denton Young was taken into custody at approximately 5 a.m. at 67 Spring Street by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, Hartford Police Major Crimes and the Windsor Locks Police Department.

Young is charged with the murder of Michael Coleman, who was found lying in the roadway at 84 Vine Street in Hartford after officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert.

Coleman was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

During the investigation, Young was identified as the suspect and probable cause was established for an arrest warrant, which was approved by a judge.

Law enforcement officers entered the home and deployed noise diversionary devices used to disorient and distract during high-risk operations.

Young was transported to the Hartford Police Detention Facility where he is being held on $2 million bond.
