PORTSMOUTH — Clifton Dushevskyy, 32, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was arrested July 15 following an extensive investigation by the Portsmouth Police Detective Division.
The investigation led to multiple arrest warrants linking Dushevskyy to a series of larceny-related offenses that occurred across Portsmouth.
During the week of Dec. 30, 2024, Portsmouth police responded to reports involving larcenies from motor vehicles, theft of a motor vehicle, and fraudulent use of credit cards.
Victims reported various items being stolen, including multiple pairs of sunglasses, gift cards, cash, credit cards, keys, clothing, personal checks, medications, binoculars, and DVDs.
Several vehicles also showed signs of being tampered with.
Following the investigation into the thefts, the Detective Division identified Dushevskyy as the primary suspect.
Multiple arrest warrants were authorized and issued Jan. 3.
Dushevskyy was taken into custody and transferred to the Portsmouth Police Department by the Rhode Island Division of Sheriffs.
He was arraigned in Rhode Island’s 2nd Division District Court on multiple charges, including driving without the consent of the owner, three counts of fraudulent use of credit cards, four counts of injuring or tampering with vehicles, thirteen counts of larceny, and conspiracy.
Bail was set at $2,500 with surety.
